🌼 Sunny Hill Flower Farm – 2026 Internship Program 🌼

Welcome! We’re excited you’re considering joining Sunny Hill Flower Farm as a 2026 intern. Our internship is a hands-on, flexible experience designed for students who love flowers, farming, and learning how a small, sustainable farm operates.

This document outlines the requirements, schedule options, and expectations so you can see if this is a good fit.

 

Internship Requirements

  1. Time Commitment

    • Farm Visits: At least 1 visit per week for 2 hours.

    • Virtual: 1 hour business class

    • Virtual: 1 Basics of farming class (Before arriving) 

  2. Scheduling

    • Choose a day that works for your schedule: Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.

    • Choose a start time: 9:00 AM or 4:00 PM.

    • You are expected to commit to the same day/time each week for consistency.

  3. Responsibilities

    • Assist with planting, harvesting, and caring for flowers and plants.

    • Help with flower arranging, farm displays, and event prep.

    • Learn about sustainable farming practices and farm business management.

    • Participate in virtual business coaching sessions each week.

  4. Skills You’ll Gain

    • Hands-on experience in floral design and landscaping.

    • Knowledge of regenerative farming and sustainable agriculture.

    • Practical business skills for running a small farm or floral business.

    • Experience working in a team-oriented, faith-friendly environment.

  5. Other Expectations

    • Respect for farm property, tools, and other team members.

    • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

    • Ability to communicate with farm staff and follow instructions.
