Do you grow cosmos in your garden?? ID YOU KNOW that you can triple how many blooms they give?????

Probably not, but I am going to teach you a trick right here and right now that will forever change the flower production in your garden.
When the plants start to grow, when they are about a foot tall, I pinch them back....
You say...."WHAT IS THAT?".
All you do is look at the plant, note the first two leaves closest to the soil, and see another set of leaves, and coming out of the second set of leaves will be a middle stem. Cut this middle stem out, because right alongside those two leaves are two very tiny new branches that just need more energy brought to them, and not the central stem.
I let them bloom, cut the flowers I need, but you will often not need all the blooms, and will see some of the flowers die off and go to seed. When you see this, I do something called the "HAIR CUT".
First off, my cosmos are planted very, very close, so this method helps cut dont the time of trimming them back.
But all I do is take my fore arm and push all the plants towards myself so that I can see them all from the side, this also tightens the stems to they dont move.
At this point, I can see where new leaves are forming, and I cut all the stems that I am pushing to the side with my arm right before that new growth....And walaaaa new flowers are now promoted to grow.
I keep doing this about three times through the growing season of the plant.
Last up, something fun I'd suggest growing is Celantro, it is a drought and heat tolerant plant that creates white blooms at the top, it smells amazing, and goes well in arrangements.
